Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you fill out a rental booking form, upload rental documents, request a quote, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, driver’s license details, vehicle preferences, rental dates, party size, pet information (if applicable), and any documents or photos you upload.
Payment information. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processors, Stripe and Square. When you pay us, your card and billing details are submitted directly to Stripe or Square and are governed by their privacy policies (stripe.com/privacy and squareup.com/legal/privacy). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We may retain a record of the transaction (amount, date, last four digits, and confirmation number) for accounting, refunds, and customer service.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and browsing activity, including your IP address (anonymized where possible), browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and approximate location derived from your IP. This is collected through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, performance, analytics, and (where applicable) advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the Site works for you.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Z56MHX6N99) to understand how visitors find and use our Site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your IP address (anonymized), device and browser characteristics, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site. We use this information in aggregate to improve content, navigation, and marketing. Rank Math Analytics. We use Rank Math, an SEO plugin, which may collect aggregate search and traffic data through its connection with Google Search Console to help us improve how the Site appears in search results.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of these signals, we do not currently respond to them, but we honor the cookie and opt-out controls described in this policy.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to: take and fulfill rental reservations; verify driver eligibility and process required rental documentation; communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations, reminders, and changes; respond to inquiries and provide customer support; process payments, deposits, and refunds through Stripe and Square; comply with legal, tax, insurance, and safety requirements; protect against fraud, damage claims, and misuse of our vehicles; improve the Site, our services, and our marketing; and send you marketing communications where you have opted in or where permitted by law.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our business or comply with the law, including with: Stripe and Square for payment processing; Google for analytics through Google Analytics 4; hosting, email, and software providers that support the Site (Hostinger for hosting, Fluent Forms for booking and contact forms, Rank Math for SEO and analytics, and LiteSpeed for performance and caching); insurance carriers, claims adjusters, towing companies, or law enforcement when necessary to handle accidents, damage, recovery, or legal matters; professional advisors such as accountants and lawyers; and government or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers or the public.
If Beach4x4 is involved in a sale, merger, or transfer of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
How long we keep your information
We retain rental records, signed agreements, and related documents for as long as needed to operate the business, resolve disputes, and meet tax, insurance, and legal obligations — typically 7 years after your rental. Payment records held by Stripe and Square are retained according to their policies and applicable financial regulations. Marketing contacts are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs and analytics data are retained for shorter periods consistent with our providers’ defaults.
Your choices and rights
You can: ask us what personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct or update it; ask us to delete it, subject to records we are required to keep; opt out of marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in any marketing message or contacting us directly; opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; and control cookies through your browser. If you are a resident of a state or country with specific privacy rights (such as California, Virginia, Colorado, or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to portability, and the right to opt out of certain processing. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Card payments are handled by Stripe and Square, both PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including Stripe and Square checkout pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies before providing your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the latest version. If we make material changes, we will post a clear notice on the Site or contact you directly where appropriate.
